Deutsche Bank through its Middle East Foundation organized an Eid party for the children of Bunyan Association on Aug. 14.
This was part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility in Saudi Arabia.
Bunyan association is a Saudi charity organization established in 2011, managed and run by Saudi women.
The organization’s key strategic objectives are to improve the living standards and productivity awareness of the role of families in the community, empower individuals’ participation initiative, and provide training and family consultancy programs for underprivileged families in Saudi Arabia.
Among its initiatives, children’s party planning and professional cooking classes are two of the successful trainings offered by the association, where women who are sponsored by the association are trained on how to organize, run and manage children’s parties.
Thus, the aim of the event was not only to provide a fun experience and meals for the children but also to motivate the program’s members.
The event titled “My tent” was a great success and attended by more than 100 children who had an opportunity of playing, drawing, having dinner together and at the end receiving their special gifts.
On the other hand, the association’s women who assisted in organizing the event did a tremendous job and was able to further develop their organizational skills.
Jamal Alkishi, CEO of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia, said: “This event is part of Deutsche Bank’s genuine commitment to contribute positively to the society and communities that we operate. We are delighted and proud to be able to offer these special kids a chance to have fun and the ladies of the association the opportunity to practice their new organization skills.”
